AlterNation’s subtitle is “Transform. Customize. Embellish.” and that’s what we hope you’ll do! The book is designed to teach even a novice sewer how to make totally unique, one-of-a-kind garments from thrift store finds… though more advanced seamstresses will also find plenty of tips, tricks and ideas, too.
Authors/designers Shannon Okey and Alexandra Underhill have created 30+ projects, brilliantly photographed by Slade Photography in Los Angeles at a variety of locations — from tropical gardens to urban junkyards, showing a diverse set of styles, models and possibilities.
